Embroidery Hoops

Embroidery Hoops are frames of different shapes and sizes which keeps the fabric firm while doing needlework on it. These days, hoops are circular and consist of a pair of rings which are used as tightening devices. By stretching the fabric with the help of hoops, needlework not only comes out neat and tight, but also looks orderly and precise.

Embroidery Hoops are made in wood, bone and ivory and come in various sizes, most commonly being smaller versions which can be fitted into the lap. For commercial purposes they are also attached to table-tops or floor so that both hands can be used for sewing. Hoops also increase the speed of embroidery and meticulousness of the work. The design to be embroidered is not spoilt with this simple tool kit in use.

The easy usage of Embroidery Hoops have ensured that all fabrics can be used for embroidery and sewing. Even different types of stitches can be handled with ease. The fabric remains taut and in place while stitching. Some designs are very complex to handle and have to be completed from different angles. A stretched area will also make sure that a good design can be applied, hence hoops are handy. This is especially important for detailed types of patterns that may require smaller areas of fabric to work on. There are many brands offering hoops in different sizes like 4”, 5”, 6”, 7”, 8”, 9” in diameter. Most of top brands use high quality brass rust-proof nuts.
