Traditional Lehenga
A traditional lehenga is a much sought after outfit amongst some young girls from India. Though newer styles of lehenga choli have evolved lately, the traditional lehenga still has an eternal charm of its own. A traditional lehenga has a circular or umbrellas cut which adds more volume or flare to the lehenga. This is coupled with heavy work like- Antique gold thread, sequins, gota work and stones. They are the dominant styles used for decorating the lehenga. Heavy zardosi work too is used by designers.

Unlike designer versions, where a huge variety of colors are used, a traditional style sticks to red, deep pink and related shades. A traditional style lehenga has a choli till the waist or till the bust. The chunni or duppatta has elaborate work too which lets it form a prime attraction in the entire outfit. A lehenga needs to be chosen according to the complexion and figure of the bride. Red suits all kinds of complexion though the shade needs to vary.
A traditional lehenga adds grace to any occasion or the marriage. Make sure that the fit is perfect since the bride needs to be comfortable in a lehenga. It is heavy, therefore the choli must not be extremely tight or the lehenga should be of an comfortable material. Raw silk and brocade are the best choices for a traditional lehenga. No wonder the beauty of the queens in Rajasthan were enhanced by this timeless feminine apparel. It added to their regal persona.
