The sherwani designs are a wonderful blend of colors and intricate craftsmanship and are grabbing eyeballs and making heads turn. There are various styles of sherwanis. Achkan: This is a light weight sherwani without a lining and long sleeves with a coat like appearance. Chipkan: This is a royal Mughal King Style sherwani where the upper half fits closely to the body and is usually custom fit. The lower fraction is shaped like a frock with a large circumference which ends above the knees. Pathani: This design incorporates a heavily embroidered jacket type top and a loose pathani salwar made mostly of silk. Angrakha: This sherwani is longer than most others fitted from top with a flare bottom. This style is well known for the heavy embroidery work with zardozi. To enhance its rich look it also has thread work and stone or bead work. Jacket: This is one of the more popular styles which come with a three piece ensemble of the sherwani, jacket and churidar pyjama. Sherwani and Patiala Salwar: This sherwani comes with a Patiala salwar which is made of soft textured fabric which helps accentuate the multiple folds and falls of this beautiful piece.
